ANNUAL AWARDS PROGRAM OF THE CHAMBER

Perhaps the single most exciting event held by the Chamber each year is our Annual Community Awards Banquet. It is a time that we set aside to honor not only outstanding businesses, but to honor outstanding employees, students, community organizations, and local community members who have not only made significant contributions on behalf of the Chamber, but have contributed to the betterment of Huntsville and Madison County.

The Chamber of Commerce Awards Committee

The Annual Community Awards Banquet and the Chamber Awards Program is coordinated by The Chamber of Commerce Awards Committee, which is appointed by the President each year. They are charged with planning the banquet, arranging for the awards, and for some of the awards, they act as the selection committee. The following categories of awards are presented each year by the Chamber:
  1. Large Employer Awards - Butterball LCC, LaBarge Electronics, Wal-Mart
  2. School Awards - Employee of the Year and Student of the Year
  3. Employee of the Year - Other Businesses
  4. Business Person of the Year
  5. Ambassador of the Year
  6. Best Supporting Business/Organization
  7. Amalga Litterell Volunteer of the Year
  8. Governmental Employee of the Year
  9. Chamber Star Awards
 Chamber members may nominate, and are encouraged to do so, in the following categories:
  1. Business Person of the Year
  2. Ambassador of the Year
  3. Best Supporting Business/Organization
  4. Amalga Litterell Volunteer of the Year
  5. Governmental Employee of the Year
  6. Chamber Star Awards
 The criteria for each of the awards may be reviewed by selecting it from the menu to the left. You will also find an online nomination form for the award on each page.

Nominations for the awards are taken anytime during the year. The Chamber of Commerce Awards Committee will consider all nominations in these categories, but the committee makes the final decision on the recipient.
