Criteria for Governmental Employee of the Year Awards

This category of awards is for an employee of the year but for one who is employed by the City of Huntsville, Madison County, the State of Arkansas, or the Federal Government.

To receive this award, the recipient must by employed by one of the governmental entities listed above. The employee must work in Madison County. When considering someone for this honor, the person nominated should be one who has the interest of the public at heart, who seems to go out of their way to be helpful in the performance of their duties. Any citizen of Madison County may nominate a person for this award by simply emailing the Chamber of Commerce office and telling us in the email why this employee should be so honored. Remember, we will need your name, phone number, and email address as well as the name of the employee, where they work and a statement as to why they should be honored as governmental employee of the year. City of Huntsville: The nominee may not be an elected official.
• Employee of Administration or District Court
• Employee of the Police Dept.
• Employee of the Street Dept.
• Employee or volunteer of the Fire Dept.
• Employee of the Water and Sewer Dept.

Madison County: The nominee may not be an elected official.
• Employee of any elected official.
• Employee of the Road and Bridge Dept.
• Employee of any office that serves the public
• Employee or volunteer of any Fire Dept.

State or Federal Employee
• Employee of any state or federal office located in Madison County.
• May be full time or part time.
• Employee of any office that serves the public
• Employee or volunteer of any Fire Dept.
