Provide a voice for the business community's concerns and promote awarenness of the challenges facing our community

Goal 3.1 - Create a monthly column in the Madison County Record to be entitled "The Chamber Corner, The Chamber Connection, etc.
Strategies
- Strategy 3.11 - Consult with editor of the Madison County Record about possibility of monthly column and receive approval.
- Strategy 3.12 - Staff and Board of Directors meet quarterly to decide a list of possible topics that would be of general interest to our members and the general public. Once each quarter this would be an agenda item for the Board of Directors.
- Strategy 3.13 - At each quarterly meeting, a person will be assigned a month to write an article
- Strategy 3.14 - Submit article to staff who will place on website and submit to local newspaper for publication.
Goal 3.2 - Quarterly meetings with business leaders, elected officials, and others that Chamber feel are the movers and shakers within the community.
Strategies
- Strategy 3.21 - Appoint a committee to discuss and develop an agenda and program that would be of interest to local business leaders, elected officials and others.
- Strategy 3.22 - Identify the individuals that should be invited to these meetings.
- Strategy 3.23 - Decide what type of venue is best to hold these meetings, such as breakfast, luncheon, afternoon or evening meeting.
Goal 3.3 - Better use of the Madison County TV Cable, our Website, other outlets to support our events and mission.
Strategies
- Strategy 3.31 - Visit at least 10 website of other Chamber of Commerce's and view and study their website design and ease of visitor operation.
- Strategy 3.32 - Make a list of items viewed on these websites that would be practical to use on our website.
- Strategy 3.33 - Survey the Board of Directors, organizations, and other members for input into web design.
- Strategy 3.34 - Meet with Web-Designer to ascertain costs and ideas to improve web-site.
- Strategy 3.35 - Review Web-Site monthly and update items that are out of date or need to be removed.
Goal 3.4 - Production of professional looking documents, brochures, and other informative materials that convey an accurate view of the area
Strategies
- Strategy 3.41 - Visit other Chamber officers and/or website to determine the nature of printed materials most often requested by locals and people making inquires.
- Strategy 3.42 - Locate national, state, and local resources that can provide accurate, and up-to-date demographics, economic information, institutional information, etc. for inclusion in printed materials.
- Strategy 3.43 - Determine if materials can be produced by Desktop publishing methods or if quantity and quality require professional printing.
- Strategy 3.44 - Prioritize importance and relevance of printed materials and produce materials accordingly.
- Strategy 3.45 - Obtain Board Approval before the official release of all informational brochures, pamphlets, etc. for use by the general public.
