Criteria for School Awards

There are six awards given in this category each year: Employee of the year and student of the year for the Huntsville Campus of the Huntsville School District; Employee of the year and student of the year for the Saint Paul Campus of the Huntsville School District; Employee of the year and student of the year for the Kingston School District;

    Employee of the Year from the Huntsville Campus

  1. The Huntsville Campus gives one Employee of the Year Award
  2. School officials select the recipient
  3. The recipient may be a teacher, administrator, office staff or other support staff memmber
  4. School officials submit the name of their receipient to the Chamber Awards Committee who order the award
  5. The presentation of the award at the banquet is made by a school official
  6. The Chamber will furnish a ticket for the banquet for the employee
    Employee of the Year from the Saint Paul Campus

  1. The Saint Paul Campus gives one Employee of the Year Award
  2. School officials select the recipient
  3. The recipient may be a teacher, administrator, office staff or other support staff memmber
  4. School officials submit the name of their receipient to the Chamber Awards Committee who order the award
  5. The presentation of the award at the banquet is made by a school official
  6. The Chamber will furnish a ticket for the banquet for the employee
    Employee of the Year from the Kingston Campus

  1. The Kingston Campus gives one Employee of the Year Award
  2. School officials select the recipient
  3. The recipient may be a teacher, administrator, office staff or other support staff memmber
  4. School officials submit the name of their receipient to the Chamber Awards Committee who order the award
  5. The presentation of the award at the banquet is made by a school official
  6. The Chamber will furnish a ticket for the banquet for the employee
    Students of the Year from the Huntsville, Saint Paul, and Kingston Campuses
  1. Each School Campus, one at Huntsville, one at Saint Paul, and one at Kingston gives one Student of the Year Award
  2. Only students enrolled in grades 10 - 12 are eligible
  3. School officials select the recipient
  4. Selection should be based on academic ability, citizenship, community service, and involvement in school activities
  5. For exmaple, a student with perfect grades but with no involement in the community or limited school activites should not be considered
  6. School officials submit the name of their receipient to the Chamber Awards Committee who order the award
  7. The presentation of the award at the banquet is made by a school official
  8. The Chamber will furnish a ticket for the banquet for the student
